Noelle Midori Naito (Saturday), violin
Noelle Midori Naito is in the 6th grade at Bonnie Branch Middle School in Ellicott City, MD. She started violin at age 4 at Peabody Conservatory Pre-College and received an Achievement Award at age 6. She has won numerous national and international awards including the MD State Music Teachers Association string competition, American Protégé International Competition, Rockville Music Festival, AFAF Golden String International Competition, AFAF International Concerto Competition, International Romantic Competition, and the Bach Competition by MSMTA. She has performed in Russia and Weimar, Germany. She has also performed at the German Consulate in New York and Carnegie Hall for the Interharmony International Music Festival Side by Side Show Case as a Young Artist. She received a Gold Medal from American Association for Development of the Gifted and Talented in 2013 and 1st Prize at AFAF Annual International Seasons Competition, which resulted in performing at Carnegie Hall, Cadogan Hall in London and St. Hilda College in Oxford, England. Noelle is an avid orchestra and chamber musician who is a concertmaster for the Bonnie Branch Middle School Orchestra and an adjunct member of Bonnie Branch Trio. She also studies piano at Peabody Conservatory Pre-College. Besides music, Noelle loves to read, ice skate, ski, and dance.
