Sola Fadiran, vocalist
Mr. Fadiran is a Nigerian-American lyric baritone and is currently studying acting at the Yale School of Drama. He has performed as a Young Artist with the Cincinnati Opera, as well as their "Opera Fusion: New Works", in conjunction with the Canadian Opera Center and the Metropolitan Opera/Lincoln Center Theater New Work Commission. He has also performed as a Festival Artist with the Utah Festival Opera and Musical Theater, and as a Festival Artist at the Virginia Arts Festival Duffy Institute for New Opera. Mr. Fadiran has performed as a soloist with the Kentucky Symphony Orchestra, the Columbia Orchestra, the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, and most recently with the Yale Institute of Sacred Music, under the baton of the BBC Singers conductor David Hill, in the American premier of the Royal Master of the Queen's Music, and renowned composer Judith Weir's "In The land of Uz." Sola will next be seen performing in the third annual Cantos Para Hermanar al Mundo concert event in Torreón, Mexico at the Teatro Isauro Mattinez. He is extremely excited to be singing with the Columbia Orchestra for the second time this summer.
