Angelina Lim, a thirteen-year old flutist, began studying music at the age of four and started flute at nine. She has been the first-chair flutist of the Wind Ensemble at her school since she first started. She has performed in the Howard County Gifted and Talented (GT) Elementary and Middle School Bands. She was accepted to play with Maryland All State Junior Band for the past two years, and was chosen to play the piccolo this year. As a member of the Baltimore Symphony Youth Orchestra, she was recently selected to perform with the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra under Marin Alsop in honor of their 100th anniversary celebration at the Meyerhoff Hall in Baltimore.
Angelina is currently an 8th grade student at Burleigh Manor Middle School in Ellicott City, Maryland, and studies with Dr. Rachel Choe of Peabody Institute of the Johns Hopkins University. When not playing the flute and the piccolo, she enjoys swimming and reading.
