Jeremy Hess, violin
Violinist Jeremy Hess is a 13-year-old home-school student from West Friendship, Maryland. He has been a student of Rebecca Henry for the past three years. Jeremy is a member of the Peabody String Academy Pre-College Violin Program and the Peabody Youth Orchestra.
He was selected as a 1st place winner by the Maryland State Music Teacher's Association in 2011, 2012, and 2013, and winner of the Peabody Signature Recitals and Part Recital Competition. He has performed as featured violinist with the Peabody Pre-College Violin Program at the Kennedy Center and the Walters Art Gallery. He was named the Junior Division winner of the Columbia Orchestra's 2013 Young Artist Competition.
Jeremy regularly performs at local senior centers and has an intense interest in computer programming and strategy video games. He is also a self-taught guitar player.
