Sean Li is 13 years old and attends Burleigh Manor Middle school as an eighth grader. He lives in Ellicott City, Maryland. Sean has played the alto saxophone for over six years with Elizabeth DuToit, his private teacher. Sean doesn’t only play saxophone, he also plays the piano and used to play the recorder. He participates in his school’s Wind Ensemble. He also participates in the Trinity exams. He received numerous awards from Friends of Trinity and received a prestigious exhibition award from Trinity College London for receiving a perfect score in grade 5 saxophone. He also participated in the Howard County G/T Band for three years and All-State Band for one. This is his first time performing with an orchestra. Sean doesn’t only play music; he likes to swim and draw.
