Dance Connections student dance companies are under the direction of Jennifer Aversa, Rebecca Dunphy, and Carly Faye and are comprised of students ages 7-18. They are service-based, non- competitive companies that perform at area nursing homes, festivals, fairs, schools, theme parks, basketball and soccer games and fundraisers. Dancers have also danced with A Moving Mission Concert to benefit juvenile diabetes, and A Community Calling to benefit the Alvin Ailey Summer Program. Dance Connections, Inc. holds annual benefit concerts and has raised over $30,000 for worthy organizations in the area including The Casey Cares Foundation, The “Love You More Heart Home” in Beijing, China, Called To Care for Orphans, and most recently, Be More Caring, to support the homeless in Baltimore City and the surrounding areas. We believe dance is a beautiful art form in which we can express ourselves and be used as a service to our community. Our philosophy is that we should use our gifts for the good and service of others and that dance should be used to bring joy and happiness to all and make the world a better place.
