Composer Andrew Simpson joins Music Director Jason Love to discuss his wonderful score to Buster Keaton’s hilarious short film, ONE WEEK. You’ll see the orchestra’s previously-recorded world premiere performance synced to the film, plus Andrew and Jason perform the first movement of Andrew’s beautiful Vistas of Rome. Join us for two live performances of Carnival of the Animals at the Chrysalis, presented in partnership with the Inner Arbor Trust! A small group of musicians and dancers from Dance Connections will perform Saint-Saën’s Carnival of the Animals and Aesop’s Fables by Richard Maltz at the Chrysalis for a small socially-distanced audience of 200 people. It may look a little different from our regular Young People’s Concerts, but your child is sure to enjoy this fun-filled introduction to the orchestra led by our entertaining Music Director Jason Love! (This event will last approximately 45 minutes.)

The Orchestra returns to the Chrysalis in partnership with the Inner Arbor Trust! A smaller ensemble from the Orchestra, dancers from Dance Connections, and narrator Greg Jukes perform Prokofiev's Peter and the Wolf! Plus, music from Moana, Wizard of Oz, and more! Children of all ages will enjoy this fun-filled introduction to the orchestra!
